A TEENAGER has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and drug offences.

Police say a teenager spotted at the corner of School Lane and Station Road in Chandler’s Ford just before 3am today and tried to flee.

A police spokesman said officers seized drugs and cans of spray paint.

He added: "A 17-year-old boy from Winchester was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage, going equipped to damage property, possession of a Class A drug and possession of a Class C drug.

"He was released from custody and is due to voluntarily attend an interview under caution at a police custody suite at a later date."
