AN ENTREPRENEUR from Winchester is set to appear on Dragons' Den next month, as he presents the Caffeine Bullet.

Entrepreneur David Hellard is set to appear in front of the dragons Thursday, April 7 as he introduces the Caffeine Bullet, a chew packed with 100MG of caffeine per chews, designed as a convenient hit of caffeine for people looking to achieve more in sport and in life.

David, 43, from Sparsholt said: "The Den is one of those opportunities that is as equally as scary as it is exciting because you know there's an opportunity, a 10 minute advert, where you and your company is being judged. You can't control what they say and think. It could go great but if they don't like it, its being advertised to millions of people, so it's a huge risk.

The idea was first sparked when David was running in the Sahara Desert and tried to put a caffeine pill in his mouth, before dropping it in the sand. He said: "I was at the stage where I was thinking has this ruined the race and thought, 'why isn't there a product like this?'"

Since, David created the Caffeine Bullet, a chew that holds 100MG of caffeine and 31 calories per chew.

He said: "I decided to do a business that was all about my personal interests and falls within my passion for life. I contacted scientists on LinkedIn, searched for suppliers online and looked for someone to help with product design. I put a message out on my Facebook and a friend came forward and said he'd help with the packaging design.

"We're so connected that if you have an idea, you don't need to know and do everything yourself, you can easily fill in the gaps of the skills you're lacking through connecting online."

Caffeine Bullet is directed towards people who want to achieve more out of life and in sport. David said: "People are using us to help smash their goals. We get feedback based on people's achievement, so to be a part of that is so lovely."

"You shouldn't lack in confidence to try something - just give it a go and see where it takes you."
