A VIDEO has captured the moment a helicopter was swooping over Southampton scanning the ground with a search light.
Local resident Alex Andersen filmed a helicopter over Ocean Village at around 1am this morning.
They said the helicopter was up for around half an hour but has no idea what they were searching for.
The video shows the helicopter hovering in the air with a bright searchlight scanning the floor below.
The Daily Echo has contacted the emergency services for further information and is waiting for a response.
