THE grieving brother of a dad-of-one whose death sparked a murder investigation has said his family want to know "what really happened".
Tesco worker Slawomir Turek, 43, died on Wednesday with police called to Mansel Road West in Millbrook at around 6.11am.
Officers arrested a 49-year-old woman from Southampton on suspicion of murder but have released her under investigation. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
Speaking to the Daily Echo from Poland, Slawomir's brother Andrzej Turek said: "The family want to know what really happened.
"Who was the person who took our brother, father and son?"
He has asked anyone with information to come forward to police.
"Anyone who has any information about his life... and how he was, should go to the police and talk to the police about him, about his life," Andrzej said.
"The information from other people will help make the investigation bigger."
Paying tribute to his sibling, he added: "He was a lovely father, son and brother - and especially father to his daughter.
"He was a citizen of Poland who took care of people and their problems.
"Goodbye from your whole family and friends in Poland and in Southampton.

"You will always be in our hearts and our memories. Rest in peace."
Slawomir moved to England from Tychy in southern Poland 16 years ago. He worked at the Tesco warehouse in Nursling Industrial Estate.
Andrzej, 30, who lives in Tychy where his parents are based, added: "He was a very empathetic person.
"He wanted to be a good person and a kind person, and he was very helpful to everyone who he met."
His surviving parents and friends are in "deep sorrow," Andrzej said.
Slawomir's funeral will take place in Poland when possible following the police investigation, Andrzej said.

As reported, officers are appealing for information after releasing the woman from custody.
A Hampshire police spokeswoman said: "If you have any information that you think could assist the investigation, please do contact us on 101 and quote 44220124721."
A cordon was in place around a property in Mansel Road West until yesterday.
Police were making house visits and initial enquiries at the scene, the police spokesperson said.
People living nearby previously told of their shock at Slawomir's death.
Dan Chapman, who lives opposite the police cordon, said: "It is a bit crazy that it has happened just across the road from me.
"I have grown up in Millbrook all my life but when it happens on your doorstep it's a bit of a scare."
