A SEARCH was launched by the coastguard to help locate a missing person in the early hours of this morning.
The RNLI Calshot volunteer crew were called into action at about 2.30am today, April 15, to assist with a search and rescue operation.

The inshore lifeboat was launched and tasked to help Hill Head Coastguard Rescue Team, police, and Hamble Lifeboat in a search of the area.
Crews took to The Solent and undertook a number of "search patterns" before being stood down after the missing person was found.
Hamble Lifeboat arrived back at the River Hamble at 4.30am this morning.
