A SOUTHAMPTON cyclist has vented her anger at 'unacceptable' potholes on a busy city road.
Portswood resident, Lyn Brayshaw, has described riding on Brookvale Road as 'cycling on cobbles'.
She fears the poor state of the road will put people off cycling and even driving there.

Despite the surface undergoing recent temporary repairs, the 52-year-old said: "I have repeatedly said to the council that this is appalling.
"It seems to be that they have just done some patching up, but the holes are really bad, especially when you cycle over them.
"I have been reporting it for ages as the road has been bad for years; it’s like cycling on cobbles.
"Those from the council need to get on a bike and see how it really is. This is an unacceptable repair."
Lyn, who campaigns for the safety group Southampton Street Space, added: "If they want to encourage people to get on bikes and to walk, we have got to have smooth pavements and roads."
Last year, Brookvale Road was voted, by Echo readers, as one of the worst roads for potholes in the city.

It was dubbed as the road with the 'deepest' potholes in Southampton.
This was taken into account by the council and it has been earmarked for repairs in July this year.
Deputy leader of the Tory-run authority, Cllr Jeremy Moulton said: "Brookvale Road is going to be resurfaced in the summer.
"It was added to the programme last year and it will be done this summer. Temporary patching works were done last week to make it safe.
"The reason it has not been done earlier is that it is prone to flooding, and it is very regularly used.

"But it is scheduled to be done in the summer."
Last month, Southampton City Council announced an additional 45 roads that will benefit from road resurfacing and improvements.
This work is in addition to the current council plans in place to deliver carriageway and footway repairs and resurfacing across the city up until the end of March 2023.
