A MAN at the centre of a rape investigation in Southampton has been released without charge.
Last month, a large police presence was seen outside the Premier Inn in Cumberland Place following reports of a rape on March 12.

However, enquiries carried out by police have confirmed that no offences have taken place.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape last month, but the Daily Echo can confirm that he has been without charge and will face no further action.
The investigation has been filed.
