Goldilocks and the Three Bears runs from Saturday, December 10 to Saturday, December 31.
Jason Donovan plays the Evil Ringmaster following his successful panto season at Birmingham Hippodrome, with Faye Brookes playing the title role of Goldilocks. Sooty will play himself with Richard Cadell as his best friend Joey the circus clown.
Goldilocks and the Three Bears is staged by Crossroads Pantomimes, the world’s biggest pantomime producer, led by Michael Harrison and the creative team behind recent Mayflower Theatre panto successes.
Michael Harrison, told the Daily Echo: “It is going to be sensational to have Jason, Faye and Richard play to Southampton audiences this Christmas in this wonderfully circus-themed pantomime that will incorporate the very best of the production I created for the sell-out London Palladium panto in 2019.”
Jason Donovan rose to fame in Neighbours and had several chart hits in the late 80s and early 90s. Since then, he has rarely been away from stage or screen in The Rocky Horror Show, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Priscilla Queen of the Desert. He is currently appearing in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Mayflower Theatre.
Best known for her role as Kate Connor in ITV1’s Coronation Street, Faye Brookes recently displayed her ice-skating skills, coming second in ITV1’s Dancing on Ice in 2021. Faye is currently starring as Roxie Hart in Chicago.
Richard Cadell is known to thousands of children as the presenter of the legendary Sooty Show.
