A HAMPSHIRE preschool where children are "happy and settled" has been praised by the education watchdog.
Hedge End Village Hall Preschool on St Johns Road has been rated as good in its most recent Ofsted inspection.
All four categories were rated as good in the inspection carried out on March 9.
Inspectors found that children behave well and they are 'happy and settled' at the pre-school.

They found that the manager "prides herself" in creating a home-from-home environment, which helps children and their parents to feel "a sense of belonging".
Staff know children well and talk about what they know and can do.
Children learn about the diversity of the wider world. They receive letters and postcards from a different country each month.
However, the report does say that support for children who speak English as an additional language is not consistent enough.
Children's early literacy skills are well supported throughout the pre-school.
