WORK is set to start on a new 35 home development at a former horticultural nurseries site this September.
Developer Linden Homes, part of the Vistry Group, says the new homes, on the site of the former Treetops Nurseries, in Allington Lane, Fair Oak, will be completed by summer of 2023.
It comes after planning bosses at Eastleigh Borough Council granted permission for the plans at a meeting last month.
The new development spans just over three acres and will include 23 two, three and four-bedroom homes for private sale and 12 affordable properties available through rent or shared ownership.

It is also expected that the planning agreement will include financial contributions towards transport, community infrastructure, off-site public open space, healthcare and education.
Amy Savage, Land Director at Vistry Southern, said the "much-needed homes" on the disused former nurseries site will be part of a development that will be "sustainable and located in a lovely village setting".
“The development has been designed to be sympathetic to and reflect the rural nature of its surroundings.
“We aim to start construction work in September and hope to welcome the first residents into their new homes in the summer of 2023.”
Existing trees and hedgerows are set to be retained where possible with more trees to be planted.
There will also be a footpath through the site and open space.
It forms the third phase to the Limewood Grange development where construction on the first two phases of 107 homes is now complete.
