The family of a five-year-old boy with a rare type of cancer have been overwhelmed by the support of their community - including complete strangers.
Teddy Davey from Locks Heath was diagnosed in September last year.
He has Langerhans’ Cell Histiocytosis (LCH) - a cancer so rare that only 1 in 200,000 children have it.
Since his diagnosis, the little boy has been undergoing weekly chemotherapy and steroid treatment.
His mother, Louise, told the Daily Echo: "He is having chemotherapy four times a week.
"It is affecting his walking and he feels cold all the time.
"It is sunny right now, but Teddy is always wrapped up in lots of layers and blankets."
While family and friends pray for Teddy's speedy recovery, donations and support have poured in from people in Southampton.
A trio of nursery nurses who took care of Teddy have launched a fundraiser to show support for the family.
Laura Wheeler, along with Millie Webster and Megan Moore, is organising a family fun day at AFC Totton football ground next month.
The fair will be jam-packed with activities and workshops for children, such as face painting and glitter tattoos. There will also be a bouncy castle and live music.
The organiser, Laura, said: "Teddy is such a kind, lovely little boy.
"He loves hot wheels cars and he also adores his 10-month-old little brother, which is just so sweet.
"I’m hoping to hold a raffle on the day and would be really grateful for donations or prizes from local sports teams and businesses.
"We want the family to know that they have the love and support of everyone in the community."
The event will take place on Sunday, May 8 from 11am until 5pm.
The endless support from the community has left Teddy's family feeling "humbled" and "overwhelmed."
Louise said: "We are very humbled that people are supporting us and they love Teddy like their own child.
"We have gone through a really difficult and tough time, so the support means everything to us.
"Some of our friends have dropped dinners and brought toys for Teddy. It is just so lovely."
When asked if the family would be attending the fundraiser, without a pause, Louise said: "Yes, absolutely. We are all going to be there."
