Coroner Sarah Whitby adjourned the hearing until the winter.
A full inquest will take place on November 23.
The hearing will consider all of the factors that led up to Mr Fraser’s death.

Officers appealed for information at the time of his disappearance saying his family were "increasingly concerned" about him.
