A FLY-tipper who dumped wood shavings and household waste has been slapped with a hefty fine.
Eddy Hilden, 54, illegally dumped wood shavings and household waste on land near Station Road in Nursling on July 7 last year.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted fly-tipping, not being a registered carrier of controlled waste, and failing to attend an interview in order to assist with an investigation.
Hilden, of Scallows Lane, West Wellow, was fined £1,000.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £100 and costs of £701.50.
