A MAN has appeared in court after a man was killed in a four-vehicle crash on the M271 in Southampton.
Stefan-Alexandru Bloj of Osborne Road, Southsea in Portsmouth, appeared at Southampton Crown Court on Friday charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
It comes after David Stephen Joseph Sullivan, 64, of Wivelsfield Green, West Sussex, died in a crash on the M271 on November 17, 2020.
Four vehicles were involved in the incident, a heavy goods vehicle, Nissan Navara, Mercedes Vito van and Citroen Relay van.
Mr Sullivan was in the Citreon at the time. Bloj is accused of driving the HGV dangerously causing his death.
Bloj, 33, pleaded not guilty to the charge at court.
It was said that he'd been driving the Mercedes Benz lorry at the time.
He is now due to appear at the same court for trial on December 5 this year.
