AN INVESTIGATION into the death of a pedestrian is continuing as more tributes have been paid.
Clare Munn, 45, died in a crash in Bitterne Road West. She was crossing the dual carriageway at around 10pm on May 2 when she was hit by a car.
Tributes have since been paid on social media with flowers and a teddy bear left at the scene.
One Facebook user, Linda Hodder, commented on the Daily Echo’s post saying: “Thinking of the driver. And Claire’s family xx”

Another, Stacey Bills-Moore, wrote: “I hope she can find peace - my thoughts are will her family”, whilst Julie Newman said: “Very sad news thoughts are with her family”.
The road was closed for several hours after the incident which involved a black Audi A4 driven by a 51-year-old man.
Zoe Sloane said: “My heart goes out to both families” while Cecilia Napier commented: “Bless you dear soul”.
Kerry Angela added: “Sleep easy sweetheart.”
Hampshire Constabulary has appealed for anyone who saw the crash to come forward.
A statement previously issued by the force reads: “It's believed the woman had been in the area around the BP garage for some time prior to the incident and we'd like to hear from anyone who saw a woman in the area in the time leading up to the collision.
“Likewise, we would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen the Audi being driven before the incident took place. Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 442200172280.
“Officers are also keen to view any dashcam footage anyone may have of the incident or the area prior to the collision.”
An inquest into the death has not yet been opened.
