RESIDENTS have been urged to not visit a Southampton park after travellers arrived.
Police were informed of an unauthorised encampment at Veracity Ground in Merryoak, Sholing, yesterday.
Around 20 caravans are currently parked up on the grass.
One local councillor, Eamonn Keogh, has advised residents to not visit the grounds.

He said in a statement on Facebook: "Unfortunately, we do have a number of vehicles and caravans illegally parked on the Veracity.
"The police are on site and the council is aware. I will visit the site regularly. The police have advised the group their action is illegal.
"The council working with Active Nation will start the necessary legal action to remove the group in the morning.
"This process can up to two weeks. At this time I would advise residents not to visit the Veracity. I apologise for the inconvenience that is being created."
