A man has admitted breaking into a barber shop in Gosport.

Brian Mitchell, 46, stole £2,500 worth of items from Pauper to King in Forton Road.

He broke into the premises overnight on May 11 and went on to steal a laptop, a mobile phone, cash and hairdressing equipment.

Mitchell, of no fixed address, was charged with burglary on Sunday.

He pleaded guilty to the offence at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

The court remanded him in custody and he will be sentenced at the Crown Court, on a date yet to be fixed.
