Two men are due to appear in court after being accused of robbing and assaulting a man.
The victim, who is in his 20s, reported being assaulted in St John's Square, Gosport, shortly after 5am on Tuesday.
He suffered head and facial injuries as a result.
During the incident, it’s also alleged that a Samsung mobile phone was stolen.
Following enquiries, 18-year-old Stanley Lambie, of Warsash Road in Fareham, and 22-year-old Aiden West, of St Johns Square in Gosport, have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and robbery.
Lambie was also charged with possession of a knife in a public place.
They have been remanded in custody to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
