IT’S SET to be a busy weekend in the Port of Southampton as nine cruise ships will sail to the city.
Southampton is frequently home to many spectacular vessels and this weekend is no exception.
High volumes of cruise passengers are expected in the city this weekend with several cruise ships arriving/departing both today and tomorrow.

As summer is on the horizon and the weather is heating up, the city is likely to welcome many cruise liners as people embark on their long-awaited holidays.
Here are all the ships arriving in Southampton this weekend
Saturday, May 21
- Seven Seas Splendor
Arrival: 5am. Departure: Leaving to Leith at 6pm
- Emerald Princess
Arrival: 5.15am. Departure: Will leave for Saint Peter Port at 5pm
- Ventura
Arrival: 6.15am. Departure: 5pm for Santander
- Iona
Arrival: 6.15am. Departure: set to leave at 6pm for Stavanger
- Spirit of Adventure
Arrival: 7am. Departure: 6pm for Gibraltar
Sunday, May 22
- Norwegian Star
Arrival: 4.30am. Departure: 5pm for Leith
- Queen Mary 2
Arrival: 6.15am. Departure: 5pm for Bergen.
- Anthem of the Seas
Arrival: 6.30am. Departure: Will leave for Bordeaux at 5pm
- Bolette
Arrival: 6.45am. Departure: Leaving for Alicante at 5.30pm.
This comes after motorists were warned to plan ahead as large numbers of cruise passengers were expected last weekend.
People are encouraged to keep an eye on traffic this weekend as the cruise ships arrive.
