A TOTTON woman has decked out her home in patriotic decorations to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Margaret Davis has added a splash of colour to her neighbourhood with an elaborate display.
The 61-year-old spent weeks crafting the display for the front of her Lovage Gardens home to show her pride at the “once-in-a-lifetime” event.
Margaret said: “All the bows are made individually and I tie them and pull them together.
“The Platinum Jubilee is something we are only going to see once in a lifetime, and I think it is something we should all be proud of.

“It does take a few weeks to make as there are quite a lot of bows, but it is something that keeps me talking to people.
“You stop and talk to people about it as they walk by.
“Somebody came the other night and told me they said ‘we have got to find this house’.
“I also received a message from someone in Australia whose family lives in Totton. That was a nice message.”
Margaret posted a picture of her display on Facebook last week and said it received a great response.

She said: “Within one hour of me posting a picture of the decorations online, I had over 1,000 likes and over 3,000 in total. I didn’t expect it, my phone kept pinging.”
One Facebook user described the display as "absolutely amazing", with others echoing that opinion.
Another commenter said it was a "brilliant display", while someone else thanked Margaret for her efforts.
The decorations will be kept up after the Jubilee weekend and repurposed for the UEFA Women's Euro 2022.
Platinum Jubilee celebrations will be in full swing in Totton across the weekend in June.
