The Fisher's Pond, Colden Common

A waterside pub has reopened its doors to customers following a half million pound renovation to give it a fresh new feel.

The Fisher's Pond, near Colden Common, has undergone a complete transformation.

Changes include the addition of a stylish private dining area and a beautiful new garden area for customers to enjoy this summer and beyond.

Along with the new look, the relaunched Fisher’s Pond has introduced an all-new brunch menu serving a selection of popular dishes including full English breakfast, Eggs Benedict and various other egg dishes, avocado on sourdough and pulled beef brisket hash.

The Two Brothers, West End

A six-figure refurbishment has given a Southampton pub the wow factor.

The Two Brothers in West End reopened a few weeks ago following a £200,000 remodel, which included an update for the restaurant, new decor, an updated menu, fancy new glassware and outside lighting.

General manager of four years Kelly Rice told the Daily Echo: "We’re all so excited. It looks absolutely phenomenal.

"When the team walked in and saw it, they were just blown away. It's really got the wow factor now."

The Cricketers Inn, Curdridge

It's the award-winning 18th Century Hampshire country pub with an indoor barbecue and big beer garden boasting a wood-fired pizza oven.

Sally and Stuart Downie opened The Cricketers Inn at Curdridge just after the first lockdown in July 2020.

They heavily invested in the historic village pub, sprucing up the interiors, organising a huge kitchen refit and reconfiguring the large beer garden to create a secure space for children to enjoy the new play area.

All the hard work is really starting to pay off now after several awards have come their way.

The Hunters Inn, Romsey

A well-loved local pub near Romsey has reopened under new ownership following a £100,000 refurbishment, its first in three decades.

The Hunters Inn at Winchester Hill, Woodley, has been transformed into a modern family and dog friendly venue which has been redecorated, had a new bar and pizza oven installed and seen new garden furniture, a new stretch tent and new technology added.

A play area and outdoor bar are about to be installed in the impressive rear garden and plans are afoot for a Sunday night pub quiz to start up next month and for a number of live music nights over the summer.

Husband and wife team Chris and Nicola Schutrups recently took ownership of The Hunters and decided on a complete overhaul to give it a more modern feel.

The Lapstone, Horton Heath

It's the 300-year-old Hampshire village pub saved from the jaws of developers and given a new lease of life with a spectacular £1 million refurbishment.

The Lapstone at Horton Heath reopened just over a year ago and now boasts six garden domes and an authentic Italian menu which combines Mediterranean passion with Hampshire produce.

The pub is fast becoming somewhat of a community hub.

Russ Kitching took it over in 2018 when it appeared it would close for good and the land potentially be used for housing.

The successful purchase of the pub by his Chandler's Ford based soft drinks company Thirstee Business followed a Save The Lapstone campaign by locals.

Following a host of Covid and planning delays, Russ finally reopened the doors in March 2021.
