A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after a gang of youths carrying weapons were caught damaging a house in Millbrook.
Last night, officers were given increased powers to deal with the group who were armed with wooden bats, knives and metal poles.
Police say items such as plant pots were damaged in the attack.
The occupants of the property were also threatened.

The incident took place in Windermere Avenue at around 3.30pm.
A 14-year-old boy from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of affray.
The dispersal order allowed police to stop and search people in that area.
The order will be in place until 5pm on Tuesday, May 31, and gives officers the power to make people involved in anti-social behaviour leave the area or be arrested.
