Eight residents from in and around Southampton have been recognised by the Queen in the Birthday Honours list.
Public servants, a council employee, a nursery founder and a dance teacher are among the recipients of MBEs, BEMs and OBEs.
They will be celebrating the royal recognition during the Jubilee bank holiday weekend.
Below is a list of recipients from the Southampton area.
Zoie Golding
Zoie Golding, born and raised in Southampton, has been awarded an MBE for her services to dance.
The 40-year-old has dedicated the past 22 years of her life to dance - from creating youth dance company FuzzyLogic to establishing ZoieLogic, which encourages more people, especially men and boys, to dance.
Emma Noyce
Emma Noyce, 45, has been awarded a British Empire Medal for her role supporting public libraries.
During the pandemic, the Hampshire County Council employee made sure thousands of vulnerable people could still access books.
She was even approached by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport to work with consultants on the government guidance for the reopening of libraries.
Freya Derrick
Freya Derrick, 47, is the founder of Hopscotch Nursery.
She has received an MBE for services to education.
The mother-of-five, from Hill Head in Fareham, was 30 when she decided to leave her 9am-5pm recruitment job and launch her nursery business.
She now employs more than 295 staff.
Sally Garland
Sally Garland has been recognised for her efforts in helping the Chandler's Ford community during lockdown.
Devoted Sally set up a support group and made hundreds of masks and scrubs for the NHS.
She has been awarded a BEM.
Nick Horst
Nick Horst was a Royal Navy search and rescue crewman before landing a similar role with Bristow Helicopters.
The 65-year-old from Fareham has been awarded an MBE for his 35-year career in air-sea rescue.
Saul Faust
Professor Saul Nicholas Faust is the Professor of Paediatric Immunology and Infectious Diseases and Director, National Institute for Health and Care Research.
He is based at Southampton Clinical Research Facility, University of Southampton and University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.
He is being made an OBE for services to the Covid-19 response.
Andrew Moll
Chief Inspector Andrew Moll from the Marine Accident Investigation Branch is set to be made an OBE for services to maritime safety.
Sarah Louise Edwards
Southampton-based Sarah Louise Edwards, a court legal adviser working in the National Compliance and Enforcement Service for HM Courts and Tribunal Service, has been made an MBE for services to health and wellbeing in Covid.
