A WOMAN who damaged a Westquay parking barrier because she was unhappy about the £4 charge has been ordered to pay for repairs.
Police were called out to the shopping centre multi-store when the driver of a white BMW X6 became unhappy about the ticket price.
The woman, a 41-year-old from Chilworth, then tried to force the barrier up manually.
Police estimated that £4,000 worth of damage was caused during the incident on May 1.

But now it has been confirmed that the woman involved has been ordered to pay the full cost of repairs.
They were also interviewed for criminal damage and handed a community resolution.
The motorist has been ordered to pay a total of £429.60 in repairs.
A police spokesperson at the time described the incident as a "moment of madness".
