A RED FUNNEL captain went to hospital after inhaling pesticide fumes aboard a ferry.
A captain sought medical assistance following a leak of pesticides on the Red Falcon on Thursday night, according to a source.
The incident is said to have taken place at around 11pm when pest control workers were on site dealing with an infestation.
Red Funnel confirmed a milder winter has led to issues with insects on its ferries.
A spokesperson said pest control at the terminal last night to deal with an infestation.
A female captain inhaled chemicals and drove to hospital as a precaution.
