PICTURES show a huge police presence on the scene of a serious assault near Southampton city centre.
Around ten officers, seven police cars, an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle were called to London Road before 10am.
A man in his 30s was rushed to hospital after being found with serious injuries.
He remains in hospital, according to police.
The incident is being investigated as a 'serious assault' by officers.
Although the road has now reopened, the cordon is still in place.
