A DRIVER was arrested after an accident that sparked a major response from the emergency services.
The accident happened at Gosport Road, Fareham, yesterday evening.
Posting on social media Fareham Cops posted: "Officers from Fareham NPT, alongside colleagues from the roads policing unit, attended a road traffic collision involving a single vehicle.
"South Central Ambulance Service deployed multiple units including the critical care car from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
"Firefighters from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service attended and made sure the vehicle was safe.
"The driver is not thought to have serious injuries and has been taken to hospital. The driver has also been arrested under suspicion of impairment offences.
"Thank you to all those that stopped to help prior to our arrival and to all the patient drivers who gave us lots of room and slowed down as they passed."
