A SOUTHAMPTON teenager hopes to raise £20,000 to represent the UK at a world championship kart racing final.
"Unstoppable" Max Solarski needs help to race in the Easy Kart World Finals in Franciacorta, Italy.
The 15-year-old from Portswood has won several races this year and hopes to continue his streak at the world finals later this year.
Max hopes to raise a whopping £20,000 to pay for equipment and tools in Italy as well as flights.
He says he's "excited" for opportunity, adding: “It's a once in a lifetime thing. I just want to get down there and show my best.
"I want to go and train. Me and my dad hope to get to Italy by September so I can get used to the course and be prepared for the meet."
Max's dad Robert, 44, says all donations are vital to reach their goals.
He said: "I know at the moment everyone is holding onto their own wallets. It's not the greatest time to ask for donations. It's a hard time now and everyone is struggling.
"But Max has worked hard and we are very excited to take part in a competition this big. I went back to my old job and I make sure I have days off when we need go to the track.
"We have had lots of random donations and we need more."
Max is set to race later this month in the British 24, a 24 hour go-karting race.
He said: “I would like to thank all my supporters, sponsors, my girlfriend, my mum, little sister and my dad for making this all happen.
"The door for big or small sponsors is still wide open.”
