AN ARSON investigation has been launched after two separate fires in a residential area.
A fire in a bin and garage attached to a home in Hood Road, Southampton, is thought to have been started deliberately.
Crews from Hightown and St Mary’s Fire Stations tackled the fire using jets and hose reels.
They then carried out community safety visits to neighbours in the street, before leaving after 6am.
A fire investigation team has deemed that the fire was set deliberately and the matter has now been handed to police.
Hampshire police has been contacted for comment.
