A MURDER investigation has resulted in the arrest of six people after a man was stabbed in Southampton.
Police have been carrying out operations around the city and further afield since the 19-year-old from Southampton died of his injuries.
Below is everything we know so far as the investigation continues:
What happened?
Just after midday on Sunday, a 19-year-old man from Southampton was rushed to hospital with a stab wound.
The incident was described at the time as a "serious assault", but upon arrival at hospital, the teenager was pronounced dead and a murder investigation was launched.

The man suffered a puncture wound to his lower back and abdomen during the incident in Langhorn Road, Swaythling.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
An air ambulance was also spotted flying overhead on the day of the incident but it is not known whether the man was taken to hospital by air or land.
Has anyone been arrested?
A total of six people have been arrested in connection with the alleged murder.
The day after, it was revealed that five men had been arrested on suspicion of murder; a 46 year-old from Bursledon, a 20 year-old from Bursledon, a 20 year-old from Hamble, a 23 year-old from Eastleigh and a 35 year-old from Lambeth.
But on Wednesday police confirmed that a sixth person had been arrested as part of their investigation.

A 35-year-old woman from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
She remains in police custody along with four of the arrested men.
The 46-year-old from Bursledon has since been released on conditional bail until August 21.
Where have police been spotted after the incident?
A crime scene remained in place on Langhorn Road throughout Sunday and Monday.
Meanwhile, armed police were spotted at a property on Le Marechal Avenue, Bursledon and officers also attended an address on Westfield Road, Hamble.
Officers remained in these areas throughout Monday whilst carrying out patrols near the crime scene.
Langhorn Road has since reopened fully after residents were originally not allowed to enter their own homes without being escorted by police.
A forced entry also took place at a house in Blendworth Lane on Monday morning with officers "bashing the door open" and later being seen leaving with evidence bags, according to reports.

How was a shooting in Chelsea linked to the investigation?
On Tuesday it was revealed that the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) had begun an investigation following an incident in Chelsea on Sunday, the day of the teenagers death.
A car believed to be connected to the incident was identified travelling into the Metropolitan Police Service area and was stopped by armed response vehicles.

During the incident at the junction of King's Road and Beaufort Street, SW3, one single shot was fired from a police firearm, causing a hand injury to one of the men in the car.
His injury is not believed to be life-threatening and he remains in hospital. Meanwhile, three other men who were in the vehicle were arrested at the scene.
An independent investigation has since been launched into the incident which is standard procedure after the discharge of firearms by police officers.
How has the community reacted to the murder investigation?
Some members of the community told the Echo they are scared how something like this could happen so close-by to their homes with Dal Soomal, who lives on Harefield Road behind the scene, saying: “It is terrifying. He was only 19. That is the same age as me. I pray for his family.”
Meanwhile, Faheem Tanoli, who lives just 200 metres from the crime scene said: “It is alarming that these things are happening in your surroundings. You feel quite unsafe. When something so serious happens it is quite distressing.”

Swaythling Labour councillor, Lorna Fielker said she was shocked to hear the man had died, adding that her thoughts are with his family and friends.
Whilst fellow councillor and Safer City boss, Matt Ranyard, said: “This is a tragic event and our thoughts go out to the family and friends of this young man.
“This is an active police investigation with several arrests made, and we will continue to liaise with the police to ensure we can support any community issues from this incident.”
What have the police said?
Soon after the incident, police expressed their condolences to the family of the man who died, adding that the force takes all incidents of serious violence "incredibly seriously".
Detective Chief Inspector Danielle Daltrey said officers are carrying out enquiries to establish the exact circumstances of what happened and said that there is not thought to be any wider risk to the public.

Detective Chief Inspector Rod Kenny has since said: “We are really keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident or who saw a group of three men running or walking to the Woodmill Lane area shortly afterwards.
“We are aware that there were a number of people in the vicinity who were either on foot, on bicycles or travelling along the route in a vehicle or on public transport.
“We have been carrying out a number of enquiries, and local Neighbourhood Policing Teams will be conducting high-visibility patrols in the vicinity over the coming days. We want to reassure the community that we are doing all we can to identify those responsible and keep Southampton safe.”
