TWO men were injured in a stabbing following a fight in a residential street over the weekend.
Staff at a Southampton nightclub called the police when an injured man turned up in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Here is everything we know so far.
What happened?
At around 12.30am on Sunday, a man turned up to Trilogy Nightclub in London Road with a "puncture wound".
It is understood he was asking for help.
Police say the assault allegedly took place in Wilton Avenue.
A fight is said to have broken out on the residential street, which leads on to the lively Bedford Place.
The man was stabbed, suffering wounds to his hand and neck, following an argument in the street.
Police say the assault was committed by an "unknown person".
Another man was injured in the same attack, and took himself to Southampton General Hospital.
What do residents say?
Wilton Avenue resident Nial Jenkins said he heard "raised voices" on the street in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The 26-year-old said: "I did hear raised voices outside. It may have been at around 1am.
"We always get people coming back from a night out down here and shouting and making noise.
"There was a disturbance. They seemed generally as though they may have been drunk."
What do police say?
Police say no arrests have been made at this time.
Enquiries into the exact circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
Anyone with information that could help police with their investigation is urged to call 101, quoting crime reference number 44220307642.
The latest attack is the third stabbing in the last few weeks in the city.
While this occurred at night, the last two were daylight assaults.
