A MAN has described hearing a motorbike "roaring up the hill" seconds before three young sisters were injured in a crash.
A ten-year-old girl was rushed to hospital with a serious leg injury following the crash outside the Rockstone pub on Monday.
Her sisters, 11 and 12, suffered minor injuries. They were crossing Onslow Road in Southampton with their mum at the time.
Kevin Belington, 54, was working at a nearby garage when he saw the incident at around 4.40pm.
He said: "I heard the motorbike roaring up the hill and as I turned, I saw the back wheel come off the ground before it hit the young girl as she was crossing the road.
"After it hit the little girl, the rider made off."

The suspect was riding on a large, white sports-style motorbike and had been travelling towards the city centre when he failed to stop.
He rode off in the direction of Mount Pleasant Road.
Police believe he was wearing a black crash helmet, a t-shirt and shorts and was carrying a rucksack on his back.
Officers have appealed for any witnesses to come forward to help the investigation.
PC Peter Piotrowski, said: "I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward and speak to us.
"I would also like to hear from anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident, or who may have captured the motorcycle being ridden along Portswood Road just prior to the collision."
He added: “At the time of the actual collision, the motorcycle was believed to be in convoy with a large black, sports style motorcycle. This rider had a white crash helmet on and was also wearing a t-shirt and shorts.
