RESIDENTS and staff have raised their glasses to commemorate a care home's 30th anniversary.
Anchor's Dawson Lodge care home on Botley Road, West End, celebrated the milestone with a summer party.
Festivities took place in the home's garden, and residents enjoyed live music and barbeque whilst playing tombolas.
Resident Dora Rigby, 97, said: "I’ve lived here for four years and it’s an amazing place with extremely helpful carers and wonderful support. I can’t imagine a better home."
Meanwhile, home manager Mitchelle Perry said: "Everyone had a great time at the party, and it was lovely to get everyone together to celebrate.
"It’s a privilege to be part of this incredible care home.
"As we all know, it’s not only about the building itself, it's our lovely team and residents who create this wonderful place."
Staff members also organised a raffle on the day, with all earnings benefiting the residents' amenity fund.
The money is utilised for trips and other special social activities for residents.
