SMOKE can be seen billowing into the sky following a huge fire in Southampton.
Flames engulfed Peartree Green today following a fire in the grass and trees.
Fire crews were called to Sea Road at around 4.45pm today.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire Service Control Room said they have received 30 emergency calls about the blaze.
Teams are still on the scene tackling the fire.
A spokesperson said: "Firefighters have been called to a large outdoor fire on Sea Road in Southampton.
"The HIWFRS Control Room has received more than 30 emergency calls reporting the fire, since the first call at 16:47 this afternoon.
"Crews from St Mary’s are currently on the scene."
