"Kudos to Hampshire fire. These people deal with stuff like that day in day out. Incredible bravery."
Another said: "It looked horriffic and very close to properties."
Woolston resident John Wells told our reporter - who was on the scene last night - that "never in my life have I seen anything like this before."
The fire service said the cause of the fire is still unknown but is likely a result of scorching temperatures.
