A WOMAN in her 70s has been left with chest injuries after an alleged hit and run in a Hampshire village.
Police were called to Waltham Chase at around 11pm last night after reports of the incident.
It was said that three men in a vehicle had collided with a 78-year-old driver before making off.
The woman was left with chest injuries.
An off duty police inspector went on to arrest two of the men at the scene.

Meanwhile, a police dog and other resources were used to search a nearby wooded area.
A thermal imaging camera was also used before the third suspect was found nearby and arrested.
Three men, aged 24, 27 and 27 remain in police custody.
They were arrested on suspicion of failing to stop after a road traffic collision and driving a motor vehicle whilst over the prescribed limit for alcohol.
In a post on Facebook, police from Fareham later said: " Thank you very much to the people of Waltham Chase that assisted us during this matter - it was greatly appreciated".
