AN awesome autumn is in store for theatre lovers as two Hampshire venues reveal a season of great events and experiences.

Autumn 2022 is now on sale at The Point in Eastleigh and The Berry Theatre in Hedge End. 

Treats on the stage at The Point include a cocktail of comedy at the Good Spirits Club, Comedy Network triple bills and stand-up from Mark Thomas.

Be moved by fierce, female-led theatre in Destiny and The Bloody Chamber, a celebration of love in all its diversity in What songs may do… and The Pantaloons’ anarchic Great Expectations.

For young theatre fans, there’s Let's All Dance's Alice in Wonderland and two dates in a day from popular CBeebies music-maker Nick Cope.

Christmas comes to Eastleigh from November 19 as The Point hosts Santa's Grotto and The Sorting Office's Christmas Makers’ Market, swiftly followed by magical storyworld SNUG. The Hundred Watt Club's Festive Burlesque takes care of your Christmas night out!

Eastleigh Film Festival on October 15 and 16 offers participatory treats Sing-a-long-a Encanto, Monty Python and the Foley Grail and The Notebook before a boo-rilliant Halloween half-term line-up featuring a draw-along with illustrator Nick Sharratt, Spooktacular Halloween Ball and workshops including pumpkin carving, spooky crafts and horror make-up.

The relaunched Point Young Companies offer a force for creativity and fun through theatre and dance for anyone aged five to 18. There’s a new Blissfully Crafty club plus regular classes for all ages, including tap. Family favourites, Wonder Gigs, Inclusive Cinema, Board Game Café and StoryTribe will all be back, too.

The Berry Theatre welcomes back Slot Machine Theatre to delight imaginations with their version of Mick Inkpen’s Kipper's Snowy Day this Christmas.

For those with slightly longer memories, there are tributes to British broadcasting classics with Phoney Towers and The Steptoe and Son Radio Show.

Celebrate the courageous efforts of the Women's Land Army in Apollo Theatre Company's Lilies on the Land and laugh along with Hal Cruttenden and Comedy Club 4 Kids.
