MAGISTRATES have banned a driver for speeding despite his plea that it would cause 'exceptional hardship'.
Benjamin Brown, 41, of Park Road, Chandler's Ford, was caught in a police speed trap having driven illegally at 44mph in a 30-zone on Hook Road, Chandler's Ford, on August 9 last year, a court was told.
Magistrates in Aldershot on Monday August 22 disagreed that a ban would cause exceptional hardship and banned him for six months and imposed a £660 fine, £90 costs and a £66 victim surcharge.
The ban followed Brown hitting the 12 penalty point mark.
