A BOUTIQUE cruise ship docked in Southampton for the third and final time this year – and we had a look inside.
Described as a “boutique hotel at sea” Azamara Quest is a mid-sized cruise ship that sails across the globe.
Built in 1999, the small but mighty liner holds just over 700 guests who can enjoy onboard facilities ranging from restaurants to a top deck swimming pool.

Lee Surman, strategic account manager for Azamara cruises, said: “We’re currently in the fantastic city of Southampton.
“Azamara Quest is one of the original ships we’ve had in service for a number of years now.
“She sails all over the world - carrying just over 700 guests – going and seeing the sights and wonders of this fantastic Earth.
“The ambience on board is so relaxed and guests just have a great time.”
On top of sailing across seven continents, the Azamara cruise ships welcome guests and staff members of many nationalities and cultures.
Liz Topintzis from Azamara said: “There is a mixture of culture amongst our crew.
“We have staff from the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Caribbean, and Europe, so it’s really nice.
“Plus, we get amazing feedback about the staff. It’s like a community.”
The vessel boasts a spa, fitness centre, high-end gift shops, restaurants, and a cabaret lounge which is home to a variety of live performances.
Along with lots of fun amenities, the ship offers a range of suites and ‘staterooms’, many of which come with a good-sized balcony.
The jewel in the ship’s crown is arguably the Club Spa Suite, where guests can enjoy a glass-enclosed bathtub, separate rain shower, mini-bar, veranda and much more.
Plus, guests of these suites are only a stone’s throw away from The Sanctum Spa which offers several sumptuous treatments.

Azamara Quest bid farewell to Southampton on the evening of August 30 and is now sailing down to France.
Lee said: “Over the next 10 days she will make her way down the coast of France.
“Southampton is a fantastic place for us to come and cruises are really synonymous with the city.
“To come down here every day of the week and seeing a ship is fantastic, not just for the cruise lines but for the port industry as well.”
Visitors to the ship were required to wear a mask onboard.
