A SOUTHAMPTON-born artist has told of his pride in having exhibitions shown across Europe.
James Earley, from Bassett, is giving a unique look into the most isolated and remote regions of Bangladesh with his artwork going on display in Paris, Amsterdam and London.
The 49-year-old paints in a photo realism style and partnered with Friendship NGO, an international social purpose organisation to create the exhibition.
The exhibit, Storm Of Climate Change: Bangladesh, is made up of 12 portraits of the people James met who were impacted by climate change.
James visited the river islands in the northern region of Bangladesh which endures severe poverty because of their location. They cannot access the mainstream economy and suffer recurring natural disasters.
These islands have seen an increasing frequency and intensity of floods caused by climate change.
James says he wanted to represent these communities to "spread awareness".
He said: "Friendship NGO invited me to show how the charity helps these remote communities and what climate change has done to them.
"My art is about highlighting and has always been that way. I have previously painted portraits of homeless people and raising awareness for a cause makes me happy.
"This charity does such good and is the only one that reaches as far as these regions.
"When they invited me I was more than happy to attend and the output has been quite impactful."
James plans to visit Congo with the charity to highlight disability in remote regions of the country.
His artwork is currently being displayed in Paris at The Carrousel du Louvre this month.
The exhibit will then move to London at The Other Art Fair and Bonhams Asian Art Auction in October before finally heading to The Sinclair Gallery in November and to Amsterdam in December.
All proceeds will go to Friendship NGO.
