A SOUTHAMPTON teenager who was a passenger in a stolen car had an imitation firearm.
Christopher Collins was found to be carrying a CO2-powered air pistol on Bassett Avenue on September 4 last year.
The 18-year-old was also a passenger in a stolen Ford Focus which was taken from a home in Gainsborough Close.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted one charge of carrying an imitation firearm and one charge of being carried in a vehicle he knew was taken without consent of the owner.
Collins, of Tunstall Road, Southampton, was discharged conditionally for two years and the air pistol was seized and destroyed.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £22.
