A KEY Southampton road has reopened after weeks of closure.
Hill Lane has now reopened after works began in July on improvements for pedestrians.
Starting from July 25, the work saw a full road closure put in place on Hill Lane between Wilton Road and Bellemoor Road.
A signed diversion route was in place and motorists were asked to plan accordingly.

But today, Southampton City Council's highways team confirmed on social media that this stage of the improvements had come to an end.
In a tweet by Southampton Travel, it said: "This phase of works has now been completed.
"The road closure has now been lifted and road is now fully open."
