POLICE are ramping up patrols across Hampshire following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
People could see more officers due to higher footfall at commemorative events to mark the passing of Her Late Majesty.
Hundreds of people from across Southampton and the surrounding areas have left floral tributes at civic centres and key sites to show their respects.
King Charles III was proclaimed at a historic service at St James's Palace yesterday.
However, other events are due to take place today, which Hampshire police say officers will be attending.
A spokesperson for the force said: "If you see or witness anything that might be of concern or see anyone acting suspiciously, then please dial 999 immediately or speak with an officer if they are in attendance."
