EXPECT a riotous hour of dancing dinosaurs, space travel and catchy songs.

A wildly imaginative stage retelling of the popular picture book Dinosaurs and All That Rubbish visits various Hampshire venues this autumn.

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the book by multi-award-winning writer and illustrator Michael Foreman, Roustabout Theatre's show heads to The Arc in Winchester on October 16, Ashcroft Arts Centre in Fareham on October 29 and Forest Arts in New Milton on October 30.

Michael Foreman’s cautionary environmental tale for children has sold more than 150,000 copies worldwide. The book and theatre adaptation, containing Roustabout's signature silliness, deliver a message of ecological awareness.

The author said: “When I wrote, and illustrated, Dinosaurs and All That Rubbish in 1972, it was because of the growing threat to the environment. I never imagined the book would be even more relevant fifty years later."
