A MURDER investigation has been launched after two people were found dead in a Hampshire home.

The bodies of a 60-year-old woman and a 66-year-old man were found inside a property on Wednesday morning.

Officers made the discovery after being called to an address on Holcot Lane, Portsmouth at 10.27am.

Police are treating this as an isolated incident and say there is no wider risk to the community.

A spokesperson said: "We are not looking for any further people in connection with this incident.

"We will have a police presence at the address in the coming days and would like to thank residents for their patience as we deal with this incident."

Formal identification procedures are ongoing.

The family is being supported by specialist officers.
