A COOKER fitter from Hampshire who filmed a schoolgirl having a shower and indecently exposed himself to a customer has been spared jail. Gareth Wright hid his mobile phone in a pile of clothes to film the 15-year-old take a shower, Reading Crown Court heard.
When the incident happened in January 2007 he was already on police bail for exposing himself to a woman while fitting a new cooker in her home.
Yesterday Wright, of Underwood Road, Bishopstoke, walked from court but was ordered to attend a sexual offenders' intensive treatment programme.
Wright was working for supplier Comet when he delivered a cooker to a 25-yearold.
He exposed himself in her bathroom, said prosecutor Alan Blake.
Wright had also previously admitted one charge of taking indecent photographs of a child when he appeared at Southampton Crown Court in February.
Wright was produced in court from police custody after breaching his bail conditions and entering the road where the 15- year-old lived in Hampshire.
Sophia Wood, defending, said Wright was eager to seek help and had approached his GP about his behaviour.
Judge Michael Wood passed a community order and a three-year supervision order. Wright is also prohibited from spending a night in the same house as a child under 16.
