A DRIVER in critical condition has been airlifted to Southampton hospital after a crash.
The man, from London in his 40s, was taken to Southampton General Hospital after a crash between his BMW and a Mercedes travelling in the opposite direction.
He suffered significant injuries and remains in a serious condition.
There were two passengers in the vehicle who were not injured.
The other driver was also uninjured, but both vehicles sustained significant damage.
Police are investigating and believe more drivers who have not yet contacted them may have witnessed the crash.
The crash happened on the A30 outside of Salisbury at the junction with Whiteway on September 15 at around 11.30am.
