TIME has been standing still in Southampton since the Civic Centre's main clock stopped working.
Engineers are currently attempting to fix the clock, which has been stuck at 12pm since Friday.
A council spokesman said the problem was with an electronic control box within the clock.
He said: "The clock in the tower has been running slow for some time.
"Engineers were called in to try to rectify the problem, but in order to find it the clock had to be stopped.
"The spare part needed is only available later this week."
