AN application to extend a Hampshire rest home has been rejected.
Fareham Borough Council has turned down proposals to add eight new rooms to Brook Lane Residential Care Home in Sarisbury Green by building single-storey and first floor rear extensions.
The plans had included reconfiguring the car parking area.
Members of the council's planning committee felt the proposed building would cause over-development which would damage the character of the area, and result in cars parking on the road.
