POLICE in Hampshire have raided two houses in Gosport as part of a probe into money laundering and the supply of Class A drugs.
Around 50 officers were involved in executing the search warrants in Western Way, Alverstoke and Pettycot Crescent in Bridgemary.
The raids took place simultaneously on yesterday between 6pm and 8pm.
A 39-year-old man from Alverstoke was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply and on suspicion of possessing criminal property contrary to the Proceeds of Crime Act. He is currently in custody helping police with their enquiries.
Detective Sergeant Justin Norris said: "These searches have been carried out following investigation into drug supply in Hampshire.
"We are dedicated to stamping out criminal activity in the community, using robust and effective policing.
"If anyone has information about the supply of drugs in the Alverstoke or Bridgemary area, they should contact police as soon as possible."
